In January every year The Friends invite applications from local charities and organisations to support projects and services that will benefit the people of Emsworth.
We have provided grants to a range of Emsworth based community services and organisations.

A Care home with Nursing owned and managed by Hampshire County Council To purchase iPads so that residents could access the internet and maintain social contact with their families during the pandemic. Malmsbury Lawn The residential dementia home in Leigh Park, Havant To help develop a shelter in the garden for residents and visiting families. |

St Wilfred’s Hospice
An independent charity supporting those living those in our community living with a terminal illness. To contribute to the costs or running their Hospice at Home programme. The Rosemary Foundation The Hospice at Home provides nurse-led care for individuals who have life limiting conditions, as well as support for their families and carers in their home. To contribute to the costs of new nurse to meet increasing demands. |

Ems Valley Community Transport
Charity providing a community transport service for those unable to use public transport due to infirmity. To subsidise long journeys, for example for treatment in Southampton. Emsworth Good Neighbours A voluntary, not for profit organisation that befriends local residents in their homes, undertakes small tasks for them and provides transport to hospitals, medical appointments and shopping. To provide volunteer support. Emsworth Community Association The aim of the ECA is to benefit the residents of Emsworth by working with organisations and voluntary groups to promote education, recreation and social well being. Emsworth Men’s Shed To support the development of a Mens Shed by providing funds for the roof. A Special Educational Needs Secondary School in Emsworth. To support the development of the outdoor areas of the school to promote outdoor activities. St James CEC Primary School Local Primary School with 223 pupils. Contribution to the building of the Grizedale Forest Circuit, a huge climbing frame in the play area. Emsworth Primary School Local Primary School with 385 pupils. Funds to purchase laptops and books during the pandemic. The Friends of Bourne The charity supports key projects at Bourne Community College that are not funded by the local authority.
